• What "TEAM round" stands for
TEAM stands for "Teleconferencing Experts in Antiretroviral Management": The aim of TEAM round is to provide physicians and trainees with an overview of the complex issues in the management of HIV treatment.

Who we are
We are a group of Swiss experts from the Swiss HIV treatment centers: PD Dr. med. Philip Tarr, Prof. Dr. med. M. Battegay, Prof. Dr. med. R. Weber, Prof. Dr. med. E. Bernasconi, Dr. med. M. Rothen, Dr. med. F. Fleisch, Prof. Dr. med. H. J. Furrer, Dr. med. M. Rossi, Prof. Dr. med. P. Vernazza, Dr. med. T. Bregenzer, Prof. Dr. med. R. Malinverni, Dr. med. A. Friedl. In order to avoid the creation of an incestuous group of Swiss experts re-enforcing our own internal opinions we have included an international expert (Dr. med. Peter Reiss, Holland, Advisor of the Swiss HIV Cohort Study) in our group who will act as an "external voice".

How teaching will be organized
The most important aspects of antiretroviral treatment in HIV infection will be discussed in a case oriented manner. Special focus will be on general aspects of antiviral treatment. Typical cases (5-8 minutes each) will be presented by one center and discussed by other centers and by the "external voice" (ca. 12 minutes each case). Each case presentation will be concluded by a summary (ca. 5 minutes). A TEAM round event takes about 50 minutes.

How can I attend TEAM rounds?
All TEAM rounds are open to the public. Anyone interested in the medical management of HIV patients may attend the broadcasted series in one of the participating "satellite centers". No registration is needed. In order to guarantee utmost up-to-dateness of the topics, the detailed programs of the single TEAM round events will be fixed in the short term and announced on this website.

Can I get credit for my Continued Medical Education (CME)?
Yes. Each TEAM round is worth one hour of CME (certified by SGIM and SGAM). To receive a written confirmation of attendance, please send e-mail to PD Dr. med. Philip Tarr.

Who pays for all this?
GSKBroadcasting and all technical support is generously supported by ViiV Healthcare. ViiV Healthcare GmbH has no influence on the medical information distributed in this videoconferencing system or on the TEAM round website.
